    Start up Britain

    start-up-britain | News | BIS.

Lots of good information in this post about start up opportunities, new initiative for schools in enterprise and an innovation launch pad for all those ready to take on the world with a great business idea.

However, there is a problem here: what does all these projects and campaigns have to do with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP)? Isn’t there a danger of much confusion being created in the SME community with so many different things going on? Does there need to be a more consistent approach to generating healthy growth amongst small businesses?

Many SME owners are time-poor anyway; the last thing they need is a huge array of options being thrown into the mix with BusinessLink, then Local Enterprise Partnerships and now StartUp Britain (just to name a few).

Don’t know what StartUp Britain is really all about? Try this post at PostDesk.com for the real story.

Young Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington Trade Fair.

Young people participating in the Young Enterprise company programme will be exhibiting at a Trade Fair in Golden Square, Warrington on Saturday 16th February. This is a chance to support a scheme aimed at preparing young people for an entrepreneurial attitude towards their future.

Companies will have a product/products to show and sell in a competitive environment – great ideas, innovation and a willingness to have a go are the order of the day.
