How Social Search Will Transform the SEO Industry.

From mashable.com, some insight into how SEO is changing because of Social Media. What does this mean for us job-searchers?

One thing straight off is that a presence / profile is essential to your increasing the chance of a successful result. Employers will see a way to get direct access to candidates – for free! No agency, no headhunter, just a search on Twitter or Facebook will yield results. LinkedIn will surely be involved too.

The accuracy of results returned will also increase. So, tell your own story through your profile. Make it compelling and interesting because the number of candidates available to employers just went up, not down.

    How fit am I?

To cut a long story short, a typical pub discussion has now become a definite plan to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in three weeks time. Two of my friends are going to do it with or without me, so I have to ask myself a question: How fit am I?

My first task was to find out via a “short” walk this morning. 6 miles around the countryside near where we live. It took 2 hours and I feel basically OK. Problem is the Yorkshire Three Peaks is 25 miles within 12 hours.

I googled “how fit am i” which led me to this http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/specials/article6288716.ece

The results mean very little to me, except that I am not as fit as Sir Chris Hoy. I knew that already.

What I am wondering is whether I am fitter or less fit or the same, now that I am not in the office every day? At some point I will be back in the office or place of work. How will that affect my fitness?

One thing is for sure: I do feel better for the exercise.
