How does follow up work? People like to be kept informed, so why not give them a little extra each time you contact them? Try updating contacts you are developing with your latest news. Make it interesting though and don’t try too hard. Keep it light.

So, whilst the stories on Alltop.com are interesting (well, some of them anyway) it doesn’t follow that everyone enjoys reading all of them. Share stories that have a wide appeal, thus engaging more of your followers.
Better still, create some original material of your own.
On Mashable.com the word is that Social Networking is responsible for 43% of news sharing. This includes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Myspace, followed by email and instant messenger.
This got me thinking that people share thing they are interested in, but also things that will impress/astound/influence the folks that they are sharing with. So, when you share, share interesting stuff. Things that your followers will want to read.
